Kerry Washington’s Favorite Skincare and Nail Products
Ever wonder what beauty products Kerry Washington keeps stashed in her bathroom? Well the actress recently shared her must haves for skincare and nail care with Allure.
The always classy star of “Little Fires Everywhere” revealed that she battles with a skin condition so she keeps a cuticle cream on hand. “I have had eczema my whole life, so I have lots of hangnails. If my cuticles are really dry, then I’m picking.” During the COVID lockdown she’s stayed heavily focused on nail maintenance at home using OPI’s ProSpa. “I like to go really, really short with them, then grow them out to a long, slightly angled oval — kind of almond,” she says. Her color of choice is OPI’s metallic red Nail Lacquer shade called “I’m Not Really a Waitress” which she’s been wearing since the 1990s when she actually was a waitress.
As for her Kerry Washington’s go to skincare, “I don’t use it all the time because my skin is pretty sensitive, but sometimes if I’m having [a breakout], I go back to that Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash that I used when I was a teenager.” And don’t get her started on the brand’s Rainbath Shower Gel. “I have four of them in my shower; four different colors and scents.” Washington is also a spokesperson for the affordable brand.
Overall, Washington is digging the beauty looks from the 1990s. “The ’90s are definitely back; I think it’s fun to realize how many of those looks are classic,” she told Allure “There might be a moment where suddenly everybody’s like ‘No frosted lips,” but then five or 10 years later, everybody’s like, ‘You know what’s really cute? A frosted lip.'”
