Prince’s Hometown Football Team Pay Homage

The Minnesota Vikings payed homage to the late great Prince during the halftime of their first home game of the season. Prince, a Minnesota native, also adopted the color purple just as the Vikings have as their team color. The stadium was draped in purple lights as Prince’s music was played by an orchestra, chore and members of the new power generation. The announcer called him their “native son” Watch the video below (tribute starts at 3:40).


And if that wasn’t cool enough, the first touchdown of the game was a pass from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Prince’s full name, of course, is Prince Rogers Nelson.
